If you use Facebook, please do this right now

I’m on a roll with non-traditional skills posts! I promise to get back to that, but first I wanted to get the word out about this. I’ve seen more and more people fall victim to this.

Secure your Facebook account and prevent it from being hijacked

You may know at least one person who has had their facebook account hijacked. In fact there is a a program called Firesheep which allows hackers to hi-jack facebook accounts.

The good news is this couldn’t be easier to fix. It is as simple as enabling SSL or HTTPS browsing on your account.

Go to Account Settings in the Upper Right

Click on Account Security

Enable HTTPS (SSL) browsing and hit save

While you are at it go ahead and fix your Gmail account
