If you are like me I find it very hard to judge the height of a tree. This is particularly important to know when you are cutting a tree down, knowing how far it will fall. Thanks to the power of geometry there is an easy way to do this with just a stick.
If you can create a triangle with the tree as on leg and the angles 90, 45, 45 then the leg on the ground will be the same as the height of the tree.
