If you have to leave abruptly for a few days you are going to want to have a change of clothes. Sometimes when you open your drawer you realize everything is in the dirty clothes and if you have to leave now that is a problem. The solution is to have some clothes set aside for such an emergency. You don’t need a lot to get by and you can certainly get by with less than you might want when you go on vacation.
I recommend three changes of underwear and socks and one pair of durable pants (jeans or work pants) and a shirt. Put one pair of underwear and one pair of socks in a zip-lock bag, times three. Keep them with the pants and shirt and DO NOT use them for times you don’t have the laundry done.
I prefer to have everything washed before I wear it, so I have a new, but washed set of clothes in my go bag. As things wear out
